Mansfield Stadium Celebrates Construction Milestone With Topping Out Ceremony

The reigning MLS NEXT Pro champion North Texas SC, along with the City of Mansfield and REV Entertainment, held a topping-out ceremony at Mansfield Stadium. The ceremony marked the completion of the stadium’s highest structural point. North Texas SC will begin playing its home matches at Mansfield Stadium in 2026.
The event featured remarks from FC Dallas President Dan Hunt, City of Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans, and Moss Construction Senior Vice President Jim Cuddihee.

North Texas SC plays its final match of the regular season on Decision Day next Sunday Oct. 5 versus LAFC 2. The match kicks off at 3PM CT from Rawlinson Stadium and will be available to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

North Texas SC is an MLS NEXT Pro franchise affiliated with FC Dallas and owned by Hunt Sports LLC. Established in 2018, the team plays its home matches at Choctaw Stadium, formerly the home of the Texas Rangers. Starting in 2026, North Texas SC will move to its new home at Mansfield Stadium. Thirty-four players have featured for both NTSC and FC Dallas over the club’s six years of existence. NTSC won the inaugural USL League One championship in 2019 and the MLS NEXT Pro Cup in 2024.
About Mansfield Stadium
Mansfield Stadium is a multi-use soccer stadium complex located in Mansfield, Texas. The facility is expected to open in 2026. The project is a partnership between the City of Mansfield, FC Dallas, and REV Entertainment. REV Entertainment will serve as the operator of the venue upon completion. In addition to the stadium, the proposed 250-acre Staybolt Street development includes residential, retail, family entertainment, hotel and conference center and entertainment venues. North Texas Soccer Club, the MLS NEXT Pro affiliate of FC Dallas, will play their future home games at Mansfield Stadium as the venue’s primary tenant.
